‘Desert’ is the second painting from the ‘Wüste Erde’ (Desert Earth) diptychon. (See also ‘Earth‘.)
This painting is molded with sand, bones, yellow ochre as well as a ‘thought-logo’ for the purpose of the desert-subject.
In this painting, Anaisis processed the personal living conditions in which people are born into. The desert with the bones of course symbolizes death; without water, life here is not possible.
